What is Invisalign® Teen?
Made from smooth, clear plastic that is specially designed for comfort and protection of the teeth and gums, Invisalign® Teen offers adolescents a more subtle, convenient solution to straightening their teeth. Through a series of plastic aligners, Invisalign® gradually moves and shifts the teeth into a more appealing position based on the treatment plan developed for you by Dr. Tenn Yuk.
Every few weeks, a new set of aligners will be created in order to accommodate the movement of the teeth. While traditional braces require frequent trips to the office in order to tighten wires, appointments for Invisalign® can often be spaced further apart in order to incorporate the busy schedule of teenagers.
How Long Does Invisalign® Teen Take to Straighten Teeth?
Each individual case is different and may require a different treatment time, but as long as the Invisalign® aligners are worn between 20 and 22 hours per day, most patients can anticipate seeing visible changes in the straightness and appearance of their teeth in a matter of months.
